Some Pretty places and ideas

I just love this! Using old purses on a bulletin board to hold things. I have a few old purses myself including one almost identicle to the one on the bottom left except mine has a peacock image on it. I may try to use them in some way similar to this. This is just too neat!

A case for Suitcase Storage

Ok, well, this wasn't exactly what I had in mind when I went looking for ideas on how to use old suitcases in my studio but it just goes to show you there really is a multitude of uses for almost anything. LOL

There is the old standby, stack them in a corner and enjoy their vintage goodness and their storage capabilities.

 I also like this idea, use ornate shelf brackets to turn an old suitcase into a shelf of sorts.

 So I have a craft cat. She sits and watches me craft and usually jumps up on top of everything I'm working on and lays on top of the supplies I need while I'm using them. Maybe one of these would be just the thing I need, LOL

When I saw this image I thought now that would be a very easy way to make a cabinet. just hang the suitcase handle on a hook with the flap to the front and open whenever you need it. Put shelves inside to hold lots of supplies.

Pretty (useful) Pegboard

When I think of pegboard I think of a very useful storage material that would be very handy to have in my studio, but then I think of a slightly cheesy looking display. So I went looking for ideas on how to use pegboard without making my studio look like a garage. This one is fabulous! Frame the pegboard with a decadent frame and paint it to match. Beautiful! Put pegboard inserts into some cabinet doors. A great way to add a little more storage to a small space. Even though this one is for the laundry room it could easily be adapted for a studio. Image from Better homes and Gardens online...

A Basket Case -Using vintage wire baskets as storage

I've been kicking around the idea of making an island for work space in my studio and have been thinking about what storage I would want underneath. Even though this island is in a kitchen I really like the slim lines and it would be easy to build with the supplies I have on hand. I have a ton of old gym baskets that aren't shaped like these but I think they would work great!

I love these baskets hanging on the wall, again sideways, and the little hooks underneath are a great idea.

Big rustic cabinet with baskets inside, easy storage solution and you can close the door to keep them out of sight, although I think I prefer my vintage baskets to show.

And I don't know where she found these little corner baskets but I'm in love. I want some!

There are so many ways to incorporate a dresser into a studio space. It really makes sense to use one. You can quickly and easily hide a bulk amount of supplies and have them readily available at your fingertips.
I'm going to be on the lookout for a neat one for my studio.
